Irregular periods? Stomach cramps? Even after consulting doctors, trying different medications, taking various treatments and therapies, many females experience abnormal periods. Well, you surely are doing everything but missing onto the most important remedy for your cycle, the moon! Yes the Moon. The menstrual cycle of an approximate 28 days in women and the time period of 28 days which the moon takes to complete an orbit around the Earth is not just a mere coincidence. There is deep connection linked between a female cycle and the moon which mostly we are unaware of. Let’s explore this science. This ain’t a superstition ladies, trust me on this.

The female cycle of every woman is connected to the Moon and the Earth. A woman, throughout her menstrual cycle, goes through various lunar energies which are linked to different seasons. Nowadays women no longer pay attention to the changes in their emotions and energy which they experience during their cycle. They get used to mood swings and cramps. We ignore this strong connection between the moon phases and our body mostly due to the lack of awareness and knowledge about it. And thereby end up wasting all the potential we could have extracted out of them during our cycle.

Did you know that the hormones in a woman’s body can be balanced just by sitting under the moon for a few minutes? The four phases of the moon govern not just the menstrual cycle but the emotional, psychological, mental, physical and spiritual health of a woman. Every hormonal state achieved by a woman happens by the influence of the Moon and its effect on her body. The four lunar phases: new moon, crescent moon, full moon and fourth quarter initiate a natural rhythm in a woman’s body. During ancient times, the natural rhythm of every woman was to menstruate under a new moon and ovulate under a full moon. Our ancestors used to mark time by observing these lunar phases. As per Ayurveda, women during those times used to keep vessels overnight filled with water under the moon light and used to drink this lunar charged water the next morning to keep their hormones balanced.

With the advancement in modern technology, mobile phones, laptops, and other sources of artificial lights, our bodies are getting drained of energy due to the lack of natural light. Artificial light affects the natural female rhythm which is linked to the moon’s light and confuses the sensibility and biological rhythm in a female body. In simple words, most women in the current era are under going menstrual issues with irregular periods, cramps and infertility only because their body is not in sync with the moon. Their bodies have a disturbed connection with the natural rhythm of the moon due to excessive exposure to artificial lights. Lets understand the connection of this link between a woman and the moon to seasons.. Read More
